Herringbone Braids

The herringbone braid, also called a fishbone or fishtail braid, works with only two main strands of hair, but crosses small sections at a time to make it look intricate.

Since strands are only crossed, and not interwoven, the resulting braid ends up being naturally looser than the other braids. It can take a very long time to do on extra long or thick hair.

For instructions on how to do a herringbone braid, see the DreamweaverBraiding site here.
